FluImpact is a predictive influenza modeling software program meant to respond to all the issues left hanging by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Flu Surge (FluSurge) and Flu Work Loss (FluWorkLoss), as well as National Institutes of Health MIDAS programs. FluImpact uses state-of-the-art systems engineering and mathematical epidemiological modeling to allow the user to define highly structured populations, groups and subpopulations, and evaluate the dynamic transmission of influenza (flu) within these populations. FluImpact also allows the user to evaluate intervention strategies such as vaccination, social distancing and quarantine, and utilize these capabilities in exercise and tabletop settings. FluImpact can be customized to meet the unique needs of the user, including: impact of flu on corporate and military capabilities, economic cost associated with flu outbreaks and interventions, geographic interpretation of model results, transmission of flu within animal / livestock / poultry populations, and other specific requirements.
